This is the final draft of a piece I’m sort of proud of. It was done with old floppy discs, two taped together, then cropped, pieces of 14x17 sketchbook paper, and electrical tape. It’s partially inspired by the work of Piet Mondrain. The design was my own, but as you can probably tell, it borrows heavily from Mondrain’s style.

Final of this one, too. Made it more blue

astralitis asked: It'd look a bit nicer on a dark background, so that the only light source was the static and the reflecting static. And a flat, dark table would help as well. That being said, it's still really nice in the use of light/reflection and general theme.

wow astral, I’m stunned by the actual critique.

And I really would love to have a table that isn’t shaped like a flower or my ugly nightstand, but sadly, I don’t have one, and the most I can use is my floor and bedsheets. I can possibly edit it so the background is darker, though.

After a long period of not really posting much, I think I should just skip all of the progress stuff I’ve been doing and go and show y’all the concentration piece. I hate that it’s blurry, but it has the angle and effects I want right now. Maybe I’ll retake and edit another day.
As always, I’m open to critiques, comments, reviews, or anything that could constitute as feedback

Reposting to actual blog with actual file instead of a screencap. Digital photograph with some editing in GIMP. Second piece in my AP concentration.
1981 was the start of the 600 series manufactured by Polaroid. In 2008, the announced the discontinuation of all instant film. Nowadays you can find 600 series cameras and many other Polaroid cameras online. They can be expensive depending on the type, what condition they’re in, and where you are buying them from, but the real cost is the film. Actual Polaroid film isn’t made anymore, so you have to look everywhere online to find it, which could be expired or hella expensive or both.
There is hope, though. The Impossible Project makes their own instant film, and it’s extremely impressive. While it can get a bit pricey, it’s worth it if you’re a lover of instant photography.

Ooooookay
First concentration piece for my AP 2D art portfolio
Concentration is on outdated technology
And I don’t know if I hate this or what. Any thoughts on improving it or what you like/don’t like about it would be greatly appreciated

Parenthetical Idea on Flickr.Via Flickr:
Black and white image for my AP 2D class with some editing in photoshop. Photoshop editing was just to adjust contrast and get rid of some minor problems like slight discoloration, yadda yadda yadda.

Journal entry for AP Art. I had to adjust the settings so you can actually see the pencil marks going on here.
This started out as a boring entry that just involved the earlobe with attached earring of a classmate of mine because I really liked the earring. However, throughout the day, it became a partial view of the Solar System? Done all from memory, so my solar system might not be factually correct. Shows the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, the asteroid belt, and Jupiter. Didn’t add Jupiter’s moons, though.

Not photography but an art blog is an art blog, right?
